Bill Skimmyhorn, PhD

William Skimmyhorn is an Assistant Professor of Economics and Finance in the Mason School of Business at the College of William & Mary. He teaches economics and finance to undergraduate students and conducts applied microeconomic research.  His primary research interests relate to financial decision-making and human capital development.

Previously Bill also served as an Assistant then Associate Professor of Economics at West Point and the inaugural Long Term Research Coordinator for the Office of Economic and Manpower Analysis (OEMA).  He provided analytic support to senior government leaders, managed the OEMA research network consisting of leading scholars at more than a dozen institutions nationwide, and designed numerous research and program evaluations to improve public policy.
